(This poem is about a person who is given a death sentence for a crime he was dragged into, which he didn’t commit.. his feelings, a night before…)
This long night has to pass,
While the fate of morning still unseen,
Dreading the dawn, the fear struck,
But still hoping something might change.
Few hours of blood and tears,
Counting my breath with utmost fear,
With this unfair judgment of lord,
Still facing the truth, which is not.
Taking the guilt of others sins,
Unraveling the rhymes of my own past,
Still anticipating, something to happen,
With these few hours, which won’t last..
Five, five is the time of morning light,
Decision unchanged with the knot so tight.
I see the darkness with my eyes closed,
Feeling the death so chill and cold.
I whine over my own fate,
And hate myself more than this uncanny world.
But still I think, something might change,
May it be a nightmare,
With these fears washing away
Redeeming myself to live just one more day..

This poem reminded me of the feelings I had after watching the movie “Green Mile”. Well, as a poets viewpoint, she definitely has the way to express things. That means she has something going on always in her brains.
